with Sharon Falsetto Chapman
Take a journey with me through the mists of time and unearth how ancient civilizations both used and made aromatic fragrances. Discover how that has transcended to the modern-day use of botanicals in aromatherapy and natural perfumery. Yes, botanical perfumery can be both functional and artistic!
In this presentation, we will look at how to create a simple fragrance, discuss different perfume notes, and how this process leads into an intricate, yet still functional, way of making scents. Want to learn beyond a basic aromatherapy oil roll-on? You’re in the right place!
We’ll look at the concerns over sustainability in the botanical fragrance industry and how you can both substitute some extracts with others, as well as extend the notes within your fragrance. Learn how your choice of base affects the overall composition of your perfume. And I’ll also be sharing some sustainability tips that you can use with your perfumery packaging.
Fragrances weave stories through their scent and composition – but they can also be functional. What do you want your scent story to be?
