Monika Nuffer, PharmD is a NAHA Certified Clinical Aromatherapist and a clinical pharmacist with expertise in Integrative Medicine.  She provides individualized consultations where she evaluates and explains the safety and efficacy as well as pros and cons of different essential oils, herbs, and supplements patients are taking or considering taking. Taking her patients’ complete medication profile into account, she screens for interactions, duplications, and helps to optimize pharmacotherapy treatment at Integrative Medicine Center at University Hospital.   

Dr. Nuffer holds faculty appointments at the University of Colorado in both the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and the School of Medicine.  Monika’s expertise is in integrative health and medicine, which she currently offers as a hybrid elective, combining self-directed internet-based learning with live classroom debates, guest lectures and discussions.   

Dr. Nuffer obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado Denver, completed an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Aromatherapy training under Jade Shutes at the School for Aromatic Studies. 

In her spare time, Dr. Nuffer enjoys traveling, woodworking, the great outdoors, and spending time with her wonderful family.
