Plants have been used for wound healing as long as we are around. Wrap around leaves, poultices with crushed roots or bark, resinous pastes, clay and macerations may still be used today for skin and wound care. In this session we build a bridge from traditional to modern wound care practices. The focus will be mainly on how modern and science based aromatherapy, including base oils and compounds, essential oils and CO2 extracts play key roles in skin and wound healing for simple but also for complex situations, illustrated by compelling cases.
